Personal Growth

Personal growth and spirituality I’ve found to be hugely important in this journey. It is NOT easy to make a living with your art, and there are so many ups and downs that come with those challenges. Personal growth and learning to understand emotional intelligence has become a huge tool in dealing with what life throws at you. Trust me, when you’re trying to make a living with your art, there can be a lot thrown at you. If you’ve at all tried, you can understand what I’m saying here. The journey of personal growth has been the biggest thing that has helped me in the entrepreneurial journey. One of the biggest things we face as entrepreneurs is uncertainty. The more you can learn to deal with uncertainty, the more you can thrive in your creative career. Spiritually is a deeper level of creativity, and an life exploration. I believe that creativity is a spiritual connection with the universe and meant to be shared. Sometimes the deeper things in life help push you through the ups and downs. Life is a mental game, and the successful ones learn how to master it.

Now more than ever I have to keep reinventing. Today I’m talking about one of the biggest things that we as creatives deal with on a daily basis: uncertainty. It is easily the most challenging part of a career as an artist or entrepreneur. Some days it’s hard to imaging where your next job or...

The only thing that was really holding me back was time and full-on commitment. Something I’ve been thinking about lately is the connection between fitness and the creative lifestyle. Bringing movement and fitness into my life and taking care of my body allows me more clarity of mind, which in turn helps me continue to...

If you repeat a process, it becomes a habit, and habits create growth. In many ShopTalk interviews, you've heard my guests discuss their morning routines. These routines are such an important part of the day: they get you started on the right foot, get your mind moving, and set the tone for a productive and...

If you want to take off, build your runway. Connor Beaton has taken a unique path. After graduating from college not really feeling passionate about his major in technical engineering, he became an opera singer. Normal, right? Connor’s path is unique, as is his message. Being that this is the first SHOPTALKradio podcast ever, I’m stoked to bring on my good friend, Scooter Braun, as the first guest.
